The Program consists of three (3) semesters, including compulsory and elective courses and the Master’s Thesis. The first two semesters include six compulsory courses (three per semester) and four elective courses (two per semester), selected from a pool of eight electives, aimed at building core knowledge in Meteorology, Climatology, Atmospheric Physics, Environmental Physics, and Atmospheric Dynamics, as well as specialized knowledge and applications. The third semester is devoted exclusively to the research-based Master’s Thesis. Learning outcomes and assessment methods are specified in detail in the course descriptions.
The teaching workload per course complies with European ECTS standards. The workload is 30 ECTS per semester, with a total of 60 ECTS for coursework and 30 ECTS for the Master’s Thesis. ECTS allocation per course is provided in the Courses and Instructors section and in the Study Guide.
The primary goal of the MSc Program is to provide comprehensive and successful education to postgraduate students by offering modern core and specialized knowledge in Atmospheric Sciences, enabling them to become internationally qualified professionals. At the same time, the Program’s policy emphasizes the production of high-quality, innovative research.
