A large proportion of MSc graduates are employed either in academia and research or in public and private organizations related to Atmospheric Sciences (aviation, environmental agencies, weather forecasting services). Indicative employers include the Hellenic Fire Service, the Hellenic National Meteorological Service, the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority, private weather forecasting companies, etc. Other graduates are primarily employed in education, as many are physicists or mathematicians, and secondarily in other public and private sector positions. At the same time, a significant number of graduates or students move abroad, where they conduct research at high-level universities and research institutions. A substantial proportion of MSc graduates continue their studies toward a PhD degree in Greece or abroad in fields related to Atmospheric Sciences.
